Richard II (6 January 1367 – c. 14 February 1400) was King of England, a member of the House of Plantagenet and the last of that house's main-line kings. He ruled from 1377 until he was deposed in 1399. Richard was a son of Edward, the Black Prince and was born during the reign of his grandfather, Edward III.

Bronze, Paris Mint, approx 36mm across, marked bronze with a cornucopia on edge, "THEY SHALL NOT PASS" - the motto of Verdun, a town in the "front line" against German assaults - was the guiding epithet of all France, so resolved not to let history (the humiliatingly brief1870 Franco-Prussian War) repeat itself. This medal was awarded to numerous war heroes.

The Order of the Rising Sun is a Japanese order, established in 1875 by Emperor Meiji of Japan. The Order was the first national decoration awarded by the Japanese government, created on April 10, 1875 by decree of the Council of State. The badge features rays of sunlight from the rising sun. The Roman Martyrology of the Catholic Church names him as a saint memorialized on 18 May. He was the founder of the House of Eric, which ruled Sweden with interruptions from c. 1156 to 1250.

Magnus Henriksson (c. 1130 – 1161) was a Danish lord and king of Sweden between 1160 and 1161. agnus was a claimant to the throne of Sweden, which was much-contested at the time. In 1156 he allegedly bribed a trusted servant of King Sverker I to assassinate him.

He continued as a Member of Parliament until his death, with the exception for the years 1874 to 1876 (when he was editor of Aftonbladet) and 1888.

Julian CM-2, Baker 279A, Bronze, approx 30mm, a more modern restrike by the US Mint. This medal was orignally struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1861 after the defection by the New Orleans Mint employees of that year to join with the South during the beginning months of the Civil War. Apparently Mint Director James Pollack believed that taking an oath would dispel and southern sympathizers, and had Paquet engrave the dies with the obverse showing Washington's bust facing right, with the words The Constitution is Sacredly Obligatory on All". On the reverse a laurel wreath surrounds "U. S. Mint. / Oath of Allegiance Taken by the Officers and Workmen / Sept 2, 1861 / Jas. Pollock Dir."
